Laboratory of Food Biotechnology
Our focus is on the development of bacteria that are used in the food products. The main research target is to discover microbial metabolites and use them as food ingredient or carrier to deliver food supplements. Biological waste management is another field of our study that is pursued in our laboratory. In our projects, we combine different techniques include: Microbial techniques, Molecular analyses, Proteomics, Cell culture, Bioinformatics and computer skills.
Students interested in developing research project in Food Biotechnology should have basic knowledge about bacteria and practical skills in Biology.
